Demirors earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Rice University in 2009 and a master's degree in business administration from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2015.&lt;br /&gt;

Demirors's first job was an analyst at Chemical Dow in Switzerland, where she spent 5 months. Meltem continued her career in the same position at Tradax Energy in the United States. After just over a year there, she became a strategic consultant at Deloitte, where she worked for almost four years. &lt;br /&gt;

In 2015, Demirors became Director of Development and later Vice President of the Digital Currency Group. She spent 2 years in the company from where she went to [[Coinshares]].
