Joyce kim
Joyce Kim is co-founder and executive director of Stellar. She is presently Managing Partner of SparkChain Capital. Joyce started out as an attorney at Sherman & Sterling and Wilmer Hale. She also worked pro bono at Sanctuary for Families and the Innocence Project.
Biography
Joyce began her career as an attorney at Sherman & Sterling and Wilmer Hale while also working pro bono at Sanctuary for Families and the Innocence Project. She became CEO of Soompi in 2006 and cofounded simplehoney, a mobile commerce startup, in 2011. Before cofounding Stellar Development Foundation, Joyce was a VC at Freestyle Capital. She graduated from Cornell University at the age of 19, followed by graduate school at Harvard and Columbia Law School. Joyce is currently a Director’s Fellow at the MIT Media Lab.
