Description
The Medi Token (MED) cryptocurrency is an internal currency for the Medibloc platform. The developers of this platform position it as an information platform that will provide direct interaction between patients, doctors, researchers in the field of medicine and manufacturers of pharmacological drugs. The creators of Medibloc are not satisfied with the current and hopelessly outdated system of storage and processing of medical data:
- patient records are kept in a medical facility, which limits access to the same data;
- the doctor does not always have full access to the history of the disease, the procedures and their results, which entails at least the re-passage of certain activities;
- curbing research due to lack of access to up-to-date information about the patient's condition during treatment (privacy policy in medicine is, undoubtedly, a necessary thing, but the current approach is clearly not the best option).
The Medibloc platform is aimed at creating a new ecosystem in the field of medicine, which is based on blockchain. Decentralization and the lack of capacity to make changes will create a single and reliable database of all patients.
Algorithm
The concept of Medibloc is simple: a document is created within the framework of the site, which displays the entire history of a person's disease, and it can provide access to any doctor. The Medibloc platform is aimed at mutually beneficial cooperation of all people involved in the treatment process, which will lead to the improvement of the quality of medical services.
Medi Token
All payments on this site will be made exclusively with MED. For active participation in the development of the project users will be charged dividends, for example, in the case of the patient's data for scientific research. Of course, all provided data will remain confidential. In addition, MED tokens are represented on some exchanges and act as shares. There is a possibility that in the long term, these virtual coins will become a means of payment, which patients will use to pay for consultation and drugs; medical institutions will purchase equipment with MED, and research centers will be able to pay for information with tokens.
Relevance of the project
Analysts estimate the growth potential of the Medibloc project quite high, as the problem with medical data is quite relevant. In addition, many people who follow the blockchain technology are aware of the existence of a similar platform called Dentacoin. It is focused on the field of dentistry and is aimed at improving the level of services provided. Medibloc is more inclusive, even more correct to say global, forming in this case a full-fledged ecosystem for the entire healthcare industry. As for the plans of the development team, they look as follows:
- The first two quarters of 2018 will be spent on the development of internal infrastructure, and in June the alpha version of the platform is planned to release.
- In October 2018 the beta version of Medibloc is planned to release.
- In December 2018 there will be a full release of the final product.
Professional doctors who have experience of analysis of large databases of medical data are also working on the implementation of the platform. Their main task is to eliminate the existing difficulties and limitations in the processing of information and to transfer the whole process on the rails of blockchain.
