Meltem Demirors
Meltem Demirors is an investor, consultant, and lawyer for cryptocurrency. Demirors served as development director for the Digital Currency Group (DCG), a company that sets up and supports Bitcoin and Blockchain companies, until 2018. She is the CEO of Coinshares.
Education and employment
Demirors earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Rice University in 2009 and a master's degree in business administration from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2015.
Demirors's first job was an analyst at Chemical Dow in Switzerland, where she spent 5 months. Meltem continued her career in the same position at Tradax Energy in the United States. After just over a year there, she became a strategic consultant at Deloitte, where she worked for almost four years.
In 2015, Demirors became Director of Development and later Vice President of the Digital Currency Group. She spent 2 years in the company from where she went to Coinshares. She is the director of the development department - giving investors access to crypto assets and blockchain companies, as well as managing director of a company in the United States.
Since 2017, Demirors leads his founding - Shiny Pony Ventures. She invests personal money in cryptocurrency startups.
Meltem Demirors is a board member for the global future of Blockchain from 2016 to 2018. Now: board member of the WEF Blockchain Council, founded in 2019.
Demirors teaches at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Oxford, defending women's right to education and their civil rights.
