SkunkHash
SkunkHash is a hashing algorithm that was developed for the Signatum cryptocurrency. The official release date was mid-2017. The peculiarity of SkunkHash and the asset is the use of PoW/PoS generation system. Proof-of-stake system came recently when a part blocks the whole issue has already been extracted. The algorithm is secure and it is also fairly intense. Even though it is suitable for mining with CPU it is not recommended. The next version of the algorithm is called SkunkHash Raptor.

SkunkHash Review
The SkunkHash algorithm combines four different hashing functions and one balancer. The hashing functions were combined to create this unique algorithm which consists of Skein, CubeHash, Fugue, and GOST-Streebog. The combination of algorithms greatly increases the security of the Signatum network, increasing the complexity of the hash function.
At the moment, there are three ways of mining cryptocurrency on Skunkhash:
- High power CPU (processor) usage;
- Latest generation graphics cards from AMD or Nvidia using sgminer fork;
- Latest generation graphics cards from AMD or Nvidia using the ccminer fork.
However, the use of a home CPU for mining is not relevant. This requires hardware ASIC devices or a farm with graphics cards.
